The Seasoned Webcam Model

I would first like to introduce myself.

I go by Stassie Jones, I turn 25 this July, I have a bachelors degree in Communications and Political science, I am continuing my graduate education in Clinical Psychology and oh, I've been an online sex worker for 6 years. 'Seasoned webcam model' seems like a fitting title as my 6 year anniversary approaches. While I may be seasoned, I am perpetually fascinated by the world that sex work has offered to me in my life. I want to preface this by saying that it's been a long road to reach this level of appreciation for the industry. Sex work is tough, but it's also daring and unique. My goal with this blog is to share my experiences, bring light to an industry that is still hidden from society, and build a community for webcam models and sex workers alike (and eventually turn this all into a successful podcast...manifest...manifest...MANIFEST).

So, 6 years of quietly camming and maintaining secrecy from my friends and family. Why go so public now? Frankly, I'm growing extremely tired of balancing two conflicting personalities and hiding a life that I'm not ashamed of anymore. For years I've been keeping up lies to my family and friends about what I do for work, what my legitimate interests are, and what kind of life I want to lead. I was terrified by the judgment that would ensue, I was disturbed thinking about losing important relationships, and I felt I had insurmountable pressure coming from my family to become a specific type of person. I've just had enough of the lies, I can't keep up with them anymore, nor do I want to waste my energy on such trivial matters. Who knows, maybe this has all been a huge open secret and I've been torturing myself keeping up a false narrative. Well no more, so here is the honest truth:

I am Stassie Jones, I've been a cam model on Streamate.com for 6 years and I LOVE IT. I think being a sex worker offers a unique life experience and I happy to be apart of such a niche culture. I'm creating a brand of authenticity. I am going back to school for Clinical Psych to later certifying in Sex Therapy. I will always be involved with the sex industry because I LOVE IT.

I can't wait to post more on this blog. I have a lot of creative ideas and interesting topics to discuss and I hope you all enjoy getting to know me and my story.
